Tetrapak printmaking with Judy Preston

£85.00

Saturday  21st March      10am-4pm

Artists are really fascinated by the re-use of  food packaging to produce print plates. The process uses drypoint techniques, cutting shapes, removing layers with a scalpel, to produce a variety of marks and tones onto the inside surface of food packaging. We will use oat milk or juice carton packaging.  Judy will share the work of artists using this technique, have lots of examples of her own work that demonstrates the versatility and creative possibilities of this accessible medium. We will use our etching presses in the studio, but also the more accessible pasta machine that is a good home alternative for these simple print surfaces.

Judy will demonstrate intaglio and relief techniques, and show you chine colle and monoprint techniques that add interest and colour.

Suitable for beginner printmakers and experienced printmakers who want to explore different methods.
