This workshop is perfect for both beginners or those who wish to brush up or extend their relief printing skills. You may use either/both Lino and Wood plates.
You will learn ....
- how to choose a suitable image and transfer to the block
- safe use of lino carving tools and good technique
--how to choose and use (and clean up) relief printing inks
- how to choose and use printmaking papers
- how to make a print by hand and by press
- simple registration techniques
- how to create a blind embossed print from your plate and the use of fine tissue papers in the lovely technique of Chine Colle.
All materials will be provided on the day of the workshop.
