My practice responds to my environment: the urban and natural landscape and how people affect, influence and change it. I am intrigued by what people feel is of value and what they choose to discard. My work interrogates the value that we place on regulated beauty, questioning the morality of the dominion that we attempt to hold over the natural world. I also investigate imagery that may be viewed as mundane and ubiquitous in our manufactured world. I was awarded the Westmorland landscape prize in 2019. I love being a printmaker and engaging in the process of printmaking.
